I hope you're right. Of course, there is the slim chance I'll get bitten by a vampire, sired, and then proceed to attack all of the Christians who keep visiting my blog.
Seriously, I do believe I will exist eternally after I die, in some way, but I wouldn't call that "eternal life". Without a physical body, there can be no actual life. By definition, life is the period between birth and death. So there.
You posted on my blog and asked me if I thought people would steal your poetry. Hopefully they won't, but you never know. It freaked me out to think it was a possibility for me because the stuff I was posting would be a lot easier to steal. I called them poems, but basically they were song lyrics. I have no musical talent but wanted to share my work so I was really posting my lyrics. Since your work is more poetry, you shouldn't have to worry. I hope I've answered your question.

I'm going to copyright some things through the post office anyway, just to be on the safe side. For anyone who's ever met me, it's really obvious that my poetry is mine, but it never hurts to take precautions.
